5,000 bespoke point of sale display units for the launch of Dr. Dre Beat’s new ‘Mini Pill’ WIFI speaker

The challenge from our client was to take a basic concept sketch of a bespoke retail point of sale display for a new product; engineer the design, produce CAD drawings, prototypes the product through engineering, drawing, prototyping and subsequent production within an extremely limited time-frame to meet the launch date of Beat’s new ‘Mini Pill’ WIFI speaker.

The point of sale display needed bespoke lighting, a bespoke MP3 player and illuminated graphic panel, illuminated logo, and a fashionable ‘funky’ look to complement the brand.

Other considerations were power and compliance requirements for worldwide territories, transit packaging for global distribution language variances and warranty/aftercare solutions.

We prototyped and manufactured point of sale displays for 5,000 stores worldwide within a 3 month time-line to meet the launch date of the new product

Within this time-line we also carried out full electrical compliance testing to CE and UL criteria.

All target delivery dates were met and the entire point of sale display project was delivered in full and on budget.
