A Recipe For Success.

For the last 5 years, Fastrak has teamed up with Manchester Metropolitan University to offer their students a creative but real-world design brief, aimed at preparing them for a future in design and engineering.

This year’s brief tied in with barware creative design, bringing the heady world of cocktails and mixology into the mix to give MMU a taste of engineering and design with a dash of glamour.

Their challenge was to design and manufacture a variety of barware solutions, created to prepare a choice of scintillating cocktails.

Together with substantial input from Fastrak’s in house design team, they came up trumps.

Here’s what from Steve Spurrier, Senior Lecturer in Design at Manchester Metropolitan University, had to say after the event…

‘Your support throughout the project has been invaluable to the students, and your feedback at key intervals has enabled the students to evaluate and contextualise their designs, in particular during the initial presentations and critique which set the scene for the whole project. Your support has gone above and beyond what we would expect from an industrial partner, and we as a teaching team really do appreciate this, as do the students.’

At Fastrak, we’re hugely proud to be involved with MMU and the wider community around us. It’s all part of our investment in the design engineers of the future – and the future of Fastrak.
